Is anxiety good?
Well, you might be thinking how can anxiety be good? To be honest, it is true anxiety is a sign of mental illness, but today lets put a positive perspective of anxiety in front of you.
So, it might interest you that being anxious in a situation puts some kind of thoughts, and well, make you aware, it acts as a warning sign that you need to bring certain changes in your life. So, anxiety exhausts your mind by continuously bothering you and so you get a hint that this area of your life might require improvement. I personally dealt with anxiety for a long time, however, I give it a credit of giving me signals that these friendships, or this particular unhealthy lifestyle of mine are causing all the chaos, so yes, it might lead to self growth.
So, lets start this one with an example, someone is being called dumb again and again by his/her friends, even if he/she is unable to understand something because he/she didn't pay enough attention and asks what it was to their friends, they call them dumb. Now obviously it will no more remain "okay" and provide that person with some sort of anxiety that it irritates them, they fear to ask any question, and deliberately laugh on tricky jokes so no one calls them dumb, it becomes a pressure and hence, causes anxiety in the social space. Now, he/she starts engaging in creative activities and progresses in them and tries to be the best version of themselves and to show the world their worth and so motivation might be something that anxiety gives you.
Now, it also makes you empathetic which means well, easier to relate and easier to imagine yourself in other persons shoes, hence, helps in friendships and relationships. You are able to understand the person suffering from anxiety and provides them a person whom they can open up to because they will feel comfortable with you.
Moving on, whoever suffers or suffered from anxiety might really relate to this point and that is "what if" thoughts. Well, you imagine what could possibly go wrong in a situation, or what if something unpredictable happens and so this helps you with your leadership skills. You know possible obstacles, you are ready for unknown obstacles and so it makes you analyze what is best for the group.
